Confusion from staff about how food can be prepared safely for coeliacs I had previously been guaranteed that the chips were safe but on a return visit when questioned again, two staff members tried to make the case that chips could be fried with gluten containing food and still be safe for coeliacs, with one stating "gluten doesn't spread in oil".
