"Udupi is a small restaurant on busy Mount Road that has little outdoor seating and less indoor seating (so not the best place to have lunch in the summer). But there is good, "cozy" tasting food at pocket-friendly prices. I had a sambar vada and a thali and found them to be plentiful. They're not extravagant in some ways, but they will impress you with the simplicity."

"As far as I know, Moti Mahal is one of the oldest restaurants in town that still has its reputation. The decor of the place has an old school feel, but the seating area isn't that large so it might feel evocative. The service is quick. <br>

"This is an all day multi-kitchen restaurant at Hotel Tuli Imperial that serves both buffets and à la carte. The decor is impressive ... there is enough space between the ceilings so that guests can move around very easily. The staff is very polite and the service is exemplary. The buffet consists of a variety of delicious dishes including Continental, Italian, Indian, Maharashtrian, Bengali, Chinese non-vegetable and vegetable delicacies. Aside from those two soups, the Lebanese counter, the salad counter and the dessert counter, everything teases you ... not to mention the endless stream of appetizers greet you here and there. At least two to three trips are required to sample and enjoy each item on offer."
