"I'm giving them a four because the fried chicken was really great. I ordered an extra crispy with the sauce on the side because it was take out. I also ordered the mozza sticks which were AMAZING but needed more salsa dip. OK, back to the chicken ... I ordered the crispy 4 thigh but that's not what I got when I arrived at home. I think I got someone else's half chicken. Needless to say, I was not happy about that. Anyway, we ate the variety of pieces and they were all very good. The sauce was the disappointment as it was just very sweet and no heat. That being said, eating the chicken without the sauce was very good. Cooked to perfection, juicy and tasty."

"Your typical Canadian chinese food, the combo was fried rice or noodles, sprig rolls and sweet n sour pork. Cooked well, Sat up at the bar and got full for about $10 Good if you like that type of food and need a good sized...meal at a good price"

"The best cheese shop in Nanaimo, by far. There are a variety of foods to buy. Eric, the owner, is a fantastic guy. Unfortunately, the kitchen is no longer open because of Kovid and snacks are not available. I miss the bacon Butties...! The fried beef sandwiches with horseradish should die for this. I'm looking forward to the day I can eat there again. Very recommended."

"My wife told me about this place. She works in Nanaimo once a week and occasionally goes there for lunch. They have plenty of gluten free options for her. We were heading out to a show and she suggested we go for dinner at Zalathai beforehand. Well I am sure glad I did. What a GREAT place!!The service was outstanding. Very pleasant and respectful staff. A great menu, full of many gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options, etc. Most of the choices can be made GF, dairy free, or vegan, etc. My wife had the GF Pad Thai and I had the Green Curry with tofu. My green curry was absolutely delicious. One of the best meals I have had in a very long time!! The curry sauce was so delicious. The veggies were so fresh and not overcooked. Nice and crispy. The rice was served in a separate bowl and was nice and fluffy. But that green curry sauce! Oh, my goodness. Hard to describe just how yummy that was. Oh, and the price was very reasonable. I am going back there again for sure. I love it when I find a real gem and Zalathai surpassed all of my expectations. So, so impressed. I live an hour outside Nanaimo and would drive there just to go to that restaurant! LOVED IT!"

"At the end of my short vacation in Parksville, I stopped by this restaurant to have a lunch with my family. We ordered nigiri sushi, seafood udon and seafood ramen combo.Sushi and seafood in the ramen and udon were terrible. I've never had this kind of unfresh sushi and seafood in the Vancouver. Also, my server forgot to bring the rice included in the ramen combo. They did not know until I pay. They suggest me to pack a bowl of rice but I denied to discount the rice price from my bill. Their rank in tripadvisor was not bad, that is why I chose this restaurant. I don't want my dear tripadvisor user to make a bad choice like me."

"The real deal. You know the food is going to be amazing when you turn into a gas station and see this cute squat building with the rounded front. Is there a kid working the till? You better believe it! And he's professional as they come! Amazing food at a great price with a cool atmosphere. Come check this place out!"
