I hate to write a bad review but I hope this will help people make informed decisions to dine here or not. In short, if you like authentic Japanese cooking then this place won?t do. Tried this out last night and ordered sushi for two, which was more than enough for 2 people. (and we were hungry! We will return for sure.
I am from NYC so I did not expect to find such a great Japanese restaurant in Napa. The only reason we went there is because our kids love Asian food but I am so glad we stopped by. Rolls were really delicious and we also were impressed by their Ramen noodles. Broth was very flavorful. If you are craving Japanese food in Napa, this is the place to go!
This restaurant was recommended to us by a couple locals. Small place, but great menu and the food was delicious! Really got busy later in the evening, so must be a popular venue!
This was our first visit to Sushi Mambo, and our experience was positive. The sushi was excellent: very fresh and tasty. The restaurant is located in a beautiful old building in a trendy neighborhood. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. A large error was made on our check which, luckily, we caught. It was corrected with apologies. We will return to Sushi Mambo for the very good sushi!
Been going for years food is still fun and innovative. Our server still needs time to feel really comfortable with customers who aren't as young and hip as she. Wasn't afraid to make suggestions so she noes the menu very well.
