Great ribs, the best any of us had ever tasted. Kid’s meals were great too, and the peanut butter pie was to die for! We were recommended to come here by friends and we were not disappointed at all! View all feedback.
What DiningGuide Reader doesn't like about Michelbob's Ribs:
BBQ is done on a flaming pit of wood. Have you EVER seen them use a BBQ pit at Michelbobs? All they do is splash BBQ sauce to give it the flavor, which is bad..I do find that the people from the NE USA have a very bad perception of what good food really is. View all feedback.
This place is so cool. They have great decorations and good music playing. Our waitress Chelsey was SO nice! Gave us great recommendations and was lovely to talk to! Kept the environment calm in the midst of a tornado watch and warning. Mac and cheese bites were so delicious! Actually, so was everything. I almost forgot to finish this review because I went home and went and took a good nap! The food was just that dang good. They are 1000% worthy of their title. I will be back
The ribs are from Denmark! There was a sign out front that says the animals are fed tulips! That is definitely unique. We came on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. There was actually a wait. Lots of tables open, but not enough waitstaff. They gave us a pager while we waited. We could have sat at the entrance, but chose to visit the bar. Okay, the bar is just a shelf next to the bathrooms and there was no bartender. We waited for a while and then finally asked if someone was coming. There were no stools. The woman who came said she was not a bartender, but she took our orders and served us anyway. She did a decent job with the two margaritas and a beer. Once we got our drinks, we headed back to the entrance where there was a bench to sit and wait on. Our server, Jeff was quick with the menus. He saw that we already had drinks, so he offered to bring us all water with lemon wedges. We also got a medium order of onion rings to share amongst three people. We could have and should have gotten the small. It would have been plenty. We had lots leftover. The biggest size is called the motherload. Your group must be extra hungry or more people to really make a dent in that. This place is known for its ribs, so we each indulged. The ladies I was with both ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs only. There is a lot of food that comes with it: coleslaw, beans, and Texas toast, plus you can choose a side like a baked potato or corn on the con in addition to the other goodies. My Combo #6 was just like their plates, but it also had a sausage. I got it spicy, and it was quite nice. The ribs here are finger licking good. You can also eat them with a fork and a knife because the meat falls off the bone. No sauce needed because the ribs are already lightly glazed with a sweet sauce. However, on your table, you can find three different types of sauce: Tangy, Sweet Spicy, and Sweet. I tried all three. They were great, but I especially liked the Sweet Spicy one. I highly recommend this place for those wanting so finger licking, fall off the bone, tender and tasty ribs. Bring your appetite and bring your friends. You're going to love it.
I last wrote about Michelbob's in 2012. I show 13 check-ins. I have been here about 30 times or more. We arrived at 6 pm on a Sunday. I thought it would be a long wait; however, our party of four was seated immediately. Three of the 4 had hamburgers, and I had ribs. For $24.00, I had a rack of baby backs, corn on the cob, baked beans, Texas toast, and slaw. The baby backs are small, but you get more food than you can eat. They serve their ribs wet, or for the nonpurist, they have sauce. I like my ribs wet and the sauced cooked in a little. There are many more rib places in Naples since Michelbob's first opened. So the competition is stiff. However, I like this place and will come here for my rib fix.
Huge menu with really good options. I got the sloppy Joe lunch special on garlic Texas toast amazing. Also got onion straws, cole slaw, peanut butter pie. Everything delicious. Best bbq in Naples nothing close.
This is a tough one to review... let me start by saying many people I know enjoy this restaurant and would rate it highly, but as this is my account for my personal opinions: it's three stars. So, I've been here multiple times sat inside and out and always had good service despite it usually being busy! The interior decor is not my favorite makes it feel dark, messy and unclean. Now the food... big portions but otherwise mediocre. . .I'm not surprised they don't have many vegetarian options, but I can still be disappointed... I was told the salads are amazing not really? I can make a better one at home. The chicken tenders were okay, but again, not spectacular. The onion rings had good flavor, but were all clumped together and really thin and oily... and the pie I got was partially frozen on the inside! Oh! The ranch is great, so that's important to note most of their sauces are quite nice actually, so that is a saving grace. Ultimately I think I'm just not the correct person for this restaurant and my experience reflects that. I probably won't return of my own accord.
