Probably the most ornate of all the touring homes in Natchez, MS. A very friendly and warm staff greets you as you enter the gift shop. Tour guides are extremely professional with lots of knowledge about the property and local history as well. Tours start every half hour. You can also purchase tours of other homes in the gift shop. The tour costs 25$ for each person and there is no discount.The person leading the tour is not a professional tour guide, and unfortunately this has a very significant influence on its quality.I would say that the main problem is that there is no thread or deep historical reflexion or perspective in the tour, but just a string of anecdotes regarding the provenance of the artefacts present in the place.Typically, the...
