"Be warned, it gets VERY crowded. I recommend booking a table. Food was really good, and the beer on tap was even better. You did have to battle the queue of people ordering food to get your drinks."

"It's a pity to leave this average review, as this place had amazing staff and we enjoyed a fantastic high tea at the Ruapehu Lounge last year. The great views and chique ambience remain. I also don't mind the slightly higher prices for such venue, but I do mind if they then don't deliver. The pizza we ordered had so much cheese it was hard to find anything else, the coffee quality was average, and the chef forgot to add satay sauce and an egg to the nasi goreng (the rest was nice though). It's still an amazing venue, and I will come back as it's an amazing place, but I do hope they improve things."

"We went across from the Chateau and had a great time. It was pretty busy with a crowd in for the rugby but our group of 10 was easily seated. Food choices were limited for the vegetarians but everything was really tasty with impressive portion sizes. I have to say the staff were amazing. With 1 person front of house she was attentive and welcoming to customers, kept the queue down at the bar, kept the tables cleared and delivered food. All with a smile. Much higher standard of service than the chateau across the road."
