"This establishment has to different parts: one is a formal restaurant, the other is a more casual place ideal for snacks, light meals or tapas, and this latter is where I had a light lunch. The place itself is spacious and modern and very popular. Too popular perhaps, as in almost contemporary establishments, the surfaces are usually very reflective and the place becomes quite noisy when there are quite a few people. Service and cleanness are very excellent. Food is abundant and the menu gives you a good opportunity to try the famous local cheese from this area, a cheese that justly deserves its fame. Casa Claudio is very convenient if you´re on a long journey along the A66. Keep in mind that, unlike other countries, Spanish motorways -the autovías, the older ones called autopistas usually have them- hardly have any service areas, so it´s a bit complicated when you need a short stopover for having a bite or just going to the loo. This place is perfectly located for a short and delicious stop: take exit 542, go along one kilometre or so, and you´ll easily find on your right, entering Casar de Cáceres. Another option is exit 539."
