I got a veggie bowl and really enjoyed it, but the tofu tacos were not my thing. They have great tortilla chips!

Delicious food, friendly service. Great variety on the menu. I ate in and did take out for their amazing border sauce to enjoy later at home.

"OMG…..the Crawfish Etouffee was incredible. The server let me taste the sauce before I ordered. It was earthy, thick and spicy. The veggies had some crunch still and every forkful had crawfish ?!! The Abita Strawberry ale was a nice compliment to the heat of the food !! Loved the downstairs atmosphere….I think it was an old bowling alley at one time !"

"Stopped here for a dirty chai and a salted chocolate chip cookie, and they were both incredible! I was driving through Marquette on a road trip and the staff here were so nice, I had a great conversation with one of the baristas! A must stop in Marquette!!!"

"The tourism center recommended this place to us and we are extremely happy we tried it. From the moment we walked in until we left everything was beyond expectations. The atmosphere and decor is fun and inviting. Service was prompt and friendly. And the food....The food was absolutely perfect, perhaps the best Mexican place in the UP...We would drive up from Ohio again just to eat here ?..If you are in or near Marquette, you have to try La Catrina.."

"Every bit as good as I remember. This location had just opened up the last time I was here. A lot of places in the same area have gone downhill, use inferior products and produce, and are generally nowhere near what they were. Not so with the border Grill. Absolutely every bit as good as I remember it. Truly, one of the best tasting restaurants in the upper peninsula."

"I just tried the rice paddy chicken egg rolls today and they were the best egg rolls I've ever had. I also ordered chicken pillows Thai and chicken-fried rice, both of which were excellent. But next time I will get at least three egg rolls that they were fresh and crispy the chicken was fantastic. Kudos to the cook."

"Tasty pasty! Thin crust, so requires a fork to eat. Get the gravy to go with it. For people unfamiliar with pasties, they are originally from England. English food is very simple (some might call it bland), so don't expect French cooking. I enjoyed mine thoroughly would return. Also every employee there was really nice patient with me. Impressive!"
