The Preserved Seed is in a cozy little house tucked into a hillside at the foot of the town of Nelson.

Sustained eyes welcome _Deli Rose, chips, special sauce_A converted house

We were in Nelson for 3 days and ate out several times, including twice at the Yellow Deli! Everything was amazing, organic, and homemade.

The food was very good, the setting is great, the service is slower and relaxed but very good and the people running the place all make it an enjoyable spot to...

Three of us had lunch. I had the veggie sub. It was just average, I wouldn't order it again. Service was good and prices are good

"Amazing ambiance and spectacular food. All the food was spot on and well worth it. A must go to and try place. The only negative if I would find one would be the fungi and kale pizza needed acid like a drizzle of reduced balsamic would have sealed the deal, but it was very minor detail compared to the entire fantastic meal! Will go again and again every time I'm in Nelson for sure!"

"Great pizza! Excellent taste, albeit a little overpriced. Would still get 5 stars, but knocked down to 4 for having just watched a teenaged customer totally get chastised by the staff for not answering loud enough when his order was ready and they called out his name. (Everyone has bad days and this was nearing the end of a rush so take it in context, but really? This one instance is enough to compel me to try other pizza places in town before coming back."

"We had been recommended to try all seasons cafe. We come to Nelson annually and love the restaurants and service at the places we frequent. After being told to try all season Café we were left with our only negative experience. I looked up the menu online and it had a variety of plates to try as well as nice wine list. Upon arriving the welcome received was definitely unwelcoming. Our server dropped a plastic menu off and quickly hurried away. The menu online was completely different and much larger than the small limited menu we were presented with. When I inquired as to the online menu being larger the server rudely replied everything is larger online. I asked if they had the smoked tuna carpaccio as I wasn’t completely clear as per his response He said they have scallops. Moral of the story. Don’t go here. There are so many fantastic restaurants in Nelson. Ie: marzano (italian) pitchfork (next door to ASC) relish, Hume hotel. Cantina el central. The only disappointment"

"I had a sandwich which I believe was called the rose? The sandwich was fantastic and at a super reasonable price. Serving size was not quite enough to fill me up but since items are so cheap I had a cup of chilli which was super rich and I was glad it came with a nice thick slice of sourdough to cut and balance the delicious chilli would recommend and I will surely visit again.Kid-friendliness: Has a kid menuParking: None near by your in Nelson hahaWheelchair accessibility: Would be quite hard to access with a wheelchair"
