If you're looking for a Nelson feel, this is it. Friends and I went to this restaurant and had such a good laugh. The staff was friendly and the food was decent. It felt a little dirty when we first came in but it may have just been the lighting. The atmosphere was undeniably in line with the city it's in. View all feedback. What User likes about Wait's News:
Stopped here for breakfast... amazing. Eggs were cooked perfectly ( and not with a ton of oil like most places) sourdough bread was great with real butter! Decor was retro and lots to look at. Highly recommended and will go back when in town! View all feedback.

read moreWaits in Nelson has a mixed reputation, with some diners praising the unique vintage decor and great milkshakes, while others complain of poor service and disappointing meals. Despite the friendly atmosphere and refreshing gluten-free options, a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen and subpar service leaves something to be desired for many customers. With the looming closure of the iconic location, fans of the old-school soda fountain experience may soon have to bid farewell to the nostalgic charm and delicious milkshakes that made Waits a local favorite for decades.
