"Bistro Ristoro is easily one of our favourite restaurants in Ottawa. It's a wonderful local business run by the best people we always have great conversations with Vlado and Lydia when we are there. The restaurant serves delicious, authentic Macedonian food. The last time we went there we had the piquant stuffed champignons, the pillows, the spicy sausage roll ups, and much more everything was AMAZING! One of my favourite dishes there has to be the Halloumi and roasted red pepper appetizer the Halloumi is the perfect consistency and tastes really great! Their pizzas and mains are also fantastic, and I highly recommend the Oliva pizza if you like olives and mushroom : One of our favourite things about this place is the passionate and energetic team that runs it you can tell that the owners and staff truly care about putting delicious food out for their customers! It's unfortunate that we had to move out of Ottawa and can't visit anymore, but this is going to be our go to place every time we travel to visit the city in the future!"

"On the search for something roman to lunch on Friday led us meat press. we had the luck to get there shortly before midday and there were several seats. we ordered and packed a small table in front of a big baptism customer. this. place is popular! my wife ordered the Cuban bowl with potatoes and bruise sprouts while I ordered the smoked meat sandwich. next time. I'm going to the bowl. both meal times were excellently stacked with meat, and more than enough! we did not try the local soda or craft beer, but the free water was just the right one to lunch. will definitiw back"

"This evening through the drive-thru and they screwed up our order. they forgot 2 pages of pommes that we noticed gratefully before we left. I came home and my burger was wrong. I ordered a chicken, but they have laid nothing but a chicken patty and mayo on the burger. no speck, no tomato, no salate. my brother ordered a teenburger without tomato and put still tomato on it. my sprit also tastes like water. not for the first time we had problems at this place."

"I went in on a whim to order a small butter chicken and rice. Someone (I believe the owner) recommended me to get the non-veg thali combo as I would get bigger portions of everything a lot to try. It was absolutely a good value for how much food you get.Butter Chicken: You can definitely taste the tomato. A bit too much for me. The taste was almost like a spicy can of Campbell's tomato soup. I don't take this against the dish but it's not how I would say most butter chicken tastes. There were 2 pieces of chicken in the portion. Not too bad but I was hoping for 3 or 4. A lot of sauce in the sauce to meat ratio.Goat Curry: My first time trying goat! Was very excited and my first bite was a little fatty. I wasn't knocked it up to being a one-off kind of deal. No big deal. 2nd bite was amazing. The meat very very rich and juicy and properly marinated. The sauce was spicy and very delectable! My 3rd and final piece of goat turned me off a lot. It was just fat and bone. No meat. I'm not sure if this is the standard but 2 pieces of predominantly fat of my 3 pieces of goat was disappointing.There was a third vegetable dish in it as well that was kind of sweet and spicy. (I apologize for not remembering the name) Also very very tasty!Rice was a good portion but I think in future visits where I decide to get this, I will ask for an extra portion to soak up the goat curry sauce as well.Absolutely HUGE pieces of naan! Was very happy to see how much naan I got!Gave the yogurt and gulab jamun to my roommate as I'm not huge on sweet stuff and he said they both tasted great.The staff here are very kind and outgoing. I had a really good conversation with the owner. The owner also threw in a free vegetable samosa (5/5, very tasty) which was very kind of him.Overall, I'll return and will update my review to reflect my next experience but this first time let me down a little bit when it comes to the meat quality in my goat curry. I heard this restaurant has been in business for 10 years and the owner spoke with a lot of conviction and confidence in this restaurant. Please give it a visit."

"Amazing cafe situated in a hidden little plaza. From the wide selection of pastries, to sandwiches to coffee options everyone here can find something they will enjoy. The gluten free biscotti option was so lovely to have as I have many friends and family members who are GF. The lavazza coffee… you can never go wrong with it !
