We have dinted at bonjardim for our one-year life anniversary in portugal. it is a beautiful location and ambiente with beautiful Dutch hosts / owners. when I had booked, I had the opportunity to get the secret dinner or a la carte. I chose the a la carte option, but in the restaurant there was no option for a la carte so secret dinner it was! even if I had booked, I had the opportunity to leave a message for the restaurant about food sensitivity. I have a strong gluten intolerance and I let the restaurant know in advance how I always. because this is a farm to table the restaurant, I felt it was not a problem. they did not check the booking messages, so I had to tell them after the bread was served and instead cold rice cakes were served, wrapped in a paper nap, while my partner had freshly baked brot. ok. I did not eat them because I was really hungry. the mysterious dinner had some nice courses, some a bit on the small side), and for the main dish, they served me flat bread on my teller. I had to ask if it was gluten-free, and no it wasn't and they forgot. So I had to remove it from my teller and was left with even less food. a little disappointing. they seemed busy, and some courses they got a statement of what they ate, and some were challenged to guess what it was- and some simply had no explanation. if they have food incompatibility, it feels like you're going blind on a mountain road. I wanted to trust that they would not eat me with hidden ingredients, but the fact that they served me gluten was disturbing and in which I had some mental problems yesterday evening and today, which make me very unpleasant and sad to leave less than a perfect review. have they made me a special dessert with whipped cream? again I was not told) and berries, which was very simple and beautifully gone to finish the meal. the wine flight was nice for 15 euro per person, all weine were made on the farm and very tasteful. I would recommend this restaurant for people with smaller appetit and no food sensitives or call in advance to confirm and remember that they need special measures. everything was very beautiful, but not amazing and I could really relax and feel a lot of trust in the food when details stayed overlooked.
TOP.

Our first experience here, and it is nice, the setting is great, and only a few more touches and it would be perfect, i.e. pillows on the chairs, maybe a candle or two on the table. The food was really interesting and delicious. Nice to have a vegan choice, I'm not vegetarian, but had the lentil and spinach curry that was delicious. The wines are very interesting and worthwhile. The owner came around and talked to people who were a nice touch, probably the only problem was a seemingly more frequent in that every restaurant we go there, not enough staff, a person who almost everything means much wait around! The food was still worth waiting. We're going back.
This boutique hotel restaurant is beautiful. located among weinbergen. locally grown eating. if they don't come in a hurry. if not, they will eat a refreshed time. eating is good. needs some work. our potatoes were not completely cooked. they are apologized and not charged. also the homemade wine/beer is good: will come back!. beautiful owners personal
