"As a young soldier back in 1984-86 I would visit the Post Horn regularly, as this facility was not very far from my installation in Neu Ulm. In my opinion, the small town of Neu Ulm (Ulm) was an exceptionally beautiful location in the middle until the end of the 1980s. I stumbled over the Post Horn more by chance, while I drove my bike through the city streets a quiet summer evening. I ordered the black Cordon bleu with (with) spaetzle together with a fresh garden salad on this (first)night and Ahhhh! Until today, about 35 years later, I had no more satisfying, better dinner. Before my tour ended in New Ulm in 1986, I must have eaten three to four dozen times with friends there to present them to the great food, service and a peaceful, quiet atmosphere of the Post Horn. When I returned to Germany 15 years later, I took my family there after I told them how good the food is. And, as I expected, they really loved it. My wife loved the salad especially, so much so that we would occasionally drive the two hours to the south, from where we lived in Heidelberg (at that time), only for a salad from the Post Horn Restaurant! I am really happy to know that the facility in Neu Ulm is still in operation. If/if I get the opportunity to return to this area Germany, I will definitely make it a priority to visit the Post Horn and enjoy the raised items from their menu. It will be the ultimate nostalgic experience! The Post Horn is family owned and running and the owners are the friendly, most receiving group of people I have come in my 58 years of life. I'm hungry for a post-horn menu after I wrote that."
