I stopped by Timer and grabbed some wings and a beer while we waited. The service was excellent; we were seated and our order was taken right away. Once we got home and finally tasted the wings, they were incredibly delicious. My wife enjoyed the mild flavor, while I went for the hot – it was a perfect match! Having tried numerous wings in the coastal areas of Eastern Carolina, I can confidently say these are among o... View all feedback.

Decided to try this place today at the suggestion of a friend, the food was good, we had Lobster Bisque, House Salad, Smothered Chicken Entree and Beef Tips Entree. The food was served within a reasonable amount of time, and the service was adequate. We went there a couple times on vacation. I forgot to take pictures most of the time I was there. The two pictures are of their burger and of their open roast beef. My brother had the burger. Open roast beef is pretty good. It wasn't just a slab of lunch meat it was shredded up a little still seem like it might have been lunch meat but it was good. Worked well with my hangover. Previous visits I had their chicken Philly which I recommend. Good atmosphere.
We ordered the fish and chips along with a hot hamburger plate with grilled onions. The fish was extra crispy on the outside and hot and moist inside. The fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Everything about the hot hamburger plate was spot on: Crisp fries, a grilled burger patty that was exemplary in preparation and taste and of course the ultimate make or break gravy. And yes the gravy was an absolute joy to taste with an ideal consistency. The food was prepared surprisingly fast for such a busy restaurant and was piping hot when served. The gentleman that took our order was polite, very aware of the menu and very attentive. A fantastic visit and we'll be back soon. Next time we're trying a burger and wings.

I honestly would have given them 4 stars, but I asked our server where the restroom was located only to find that it wasn 't in operation at the time, there was no lid on the toilet and the toilet couldn 't flush. But we will give them another try when we are in the area again. I hear they are famous for their Hot Hamburger Plate we may be trying that next time.
