"Should have been getting sushi. I ordered the seafood yaki soba while I was pleased with the waitress and her attention during work, I do not weep with my meal. the seafood consisted of 5 garnels, 2 scallops (in half cut,) and 1 3” piece imitation cancer (in 1/2 cut.) I will begin with saying in no restaurant should be rated over 2 if with imitation cancer. the garnels were cooked and cooked over and thus tasteless and edgeline slurry. the scallops had no color to show a good pan sea and were also tasteless and the crab. now it was imitation so that nothing more has to be said about it. my sweetness seemed good enough. for what it is worth, my 11yo daughter had no complaints about her salmon hibachi. I want to give this place 3 stars because the waitress was wonderful, but the overall quality of the food weighs much stronger."

"Went to Mary's in new castle. Literally best meal I've had here. In new castle I mean. It wasn't so-much the ingredients, they just nailed the execution. I got the lamb combo. I don't hate kibee, but I've never liked it. It makes a is all I could say for it. This is the fried kibee with bulgur wheat and meat shell, filled with more meat and wheat. Usually bland and overcooked. I like raw kibee, which is usually chopped beef when you eat out in new castle. But that stuff that's deep fried to briquet consistency? Mary's just nailed it. Cooked so the inside was hot and moist, shell wasn't a deep fried rock. Lamb and grape leaves as well. I like Little Damascus more, but this was pretty freaking good. The lamb was perfect. Perfectly medium rare, lightly seasoned, and had that grilled taste. Because it was actually grilled. Wife got lamb on the rod with rice. Delicious fluffy beautifully seasoned rice. And all the usual sides everyone gets at practically every restaurant and bar when you get lamb in new castle. Peppers in oil, hummus, a garlic sauce that will make you everyone's favorite person, and Syrian bread. Did I mention the name of the place is Mary's Restaurant and Bakery? I think. Mary's and Bakery are in the name for sure. They got great Syrian bread. And I don't like Syrian bread. (I'm a riddle wrapped in an enigma) Mary's was already my favorite place in new castle, which is saying something because I like a few places here. But where they beat every other place, and I mean anywhere, is the wait staff. They are always well staffed. And the staff are just great. They really do like their job, and the customers. Conversation, never rushed. Just they just take a genuine interest. Which is good for me because the wife likes to talk while I'm eating. Oh that was a joke, I was kidding. Seriously though. The servers and staff are just nice to be around. From the moment you walk in the door to when you leave. Adding todays pics to a previous review. Yes, I like the place. For a reason. And that reason is food, service, setting (beautiful inside, and pretty cool out as well) and another place that is consistently excellent."

"Soni?s outdid themselves today. I rarely leave reviews, but I felt the need to after the experience we had. I was part of a funeral party that needed a place for lunch. With most of us coming from out of town, we originally had a reservation at another local restaurant, but after waiting outside that establishment for 20 mins after opening was SUPPOSED to happen, we were finally told that they would be unable to open for us. Leaving almost 30 of us sitting in a parking lot with nowhere to eat. We called Soni?s to see if they could possibly accommodate us on short notice?and were welcomed with warm smiles and an entire room to ourselves! Our servers were fantastic and took care of all of us promptly. The food was absolutely cooked perfectly with generous delicious portions. The fact that the staff were able to take such good care of all of us (without a reservation), on such a sad day to begin with?we are very grateful for all of you at Soni?s. Thank you so much for allowing our family and friends to gather! I will definitely be dining here again next time we?re in New Castle!"

"We had to wait 20 minutes, even though there were plenty of empty tables. Then it took almost 20 minutes to get drinks. We asked for silverware and napkins several times....50 minutes after we sat down, we finally got some. Food took over an hour after ordering. My wife had to repeatedly ask for a glass of wine. The food was really good, but service not so much. I think they were a little understaffed so I'm trying to be reasonable with my rating"
