What Mayra Steuber doesn't like about TGI FRIDAYS - New Castle:
Our waitress greeted us promptly, and we placed our orders without any issues. However, it took a while for our food to arrive, and we had to wait even longer for our utensils. We had to wait a 1/2 hour for beverages, 1 hour and a half for orderves and service was just slow.
1) Reserved seating for three and a child through Open Table do not make any problems making the reservation 2) Arrived in the restaurant and saw many annoying people standing in the entrance waiting to sit. The host was also annoyed for the protection of people. I had to tell the host several times that I had made an open table booking before he actually listened to us. At this point we had already waited 10 15 minutes after the scheduled reservation. The host said we were sitting next door to sit another family. The manager appeared about 5 minutes later and put us on a table that had no corners. 3) Our waitress came and greeted us. No problems here. We finally order our food and two other employees bring the food after a long wait. No cutlery yet, so then I asked about cutlery. It took another 5 minutes to get the cutlery brought out by the original waitress. At last time to eat. 4) I asked for my steak extra well done without pink or red. It was pink, in several points to red that turned me off. I had ribs, so I didn't think biggie, I'm just gonna eat everything else. Well, my daughter doesn't eat bacon, but the shrimps Alfredo had bacon in it so that she didn't touch it and the waitress never told her that bacon came into the Alfredo. When the waitress returned to check us out and asked us if we wanted Dessert, she saw the full plate of Alfredo and said we should have told her we didn't want it. At this point I expected them to go and talk to the manager to remove it from the bill without asking them to do so. The same for my steak that was not cooked to my satisfaction. She didn't... she just offered to talk to the manager so future customers might not meet the same. The waitress returns with the bill, so I ask her to get the manager for me. The manager came and made sure that the bill was corrected to my satisfaction that we appreciated.

When the waitress checked on us and noticed the untouched dish, she suggested we should have told her earlier. I expected them to remove the dishes from the bill without me having to ask, but they did not. After requesting to speak with the manager, they finally made sure the bill was corrected to our satisfaction.
This is a great place to eat, but our experience was almost ruined by the hostess who tried to discourage us by saying there was a 45-minute wait for a table. Despite having reservations for 7:15pm on 2/24/19, we were seated right in front of the door in a nearly empty and uncomfortably cold restaurant. When we asked to move away from the door, the hostess refused, but our server was kind enough to accommodate our request immediately. Thanks to her attentive service, our dining experience was pleasant and enjoyable. I was considering leaving if our seating couldn't be adjusted, especially with three small children in tow. Fortunately, we were able to enjoy our meal and were in and out in about an hour. Despite the empty restaurant when we left, I left satisfied thanks to the excellent service of the staff, particularly our server.
My husband and I tried the new menu at this restaurant recently and were pleasantly surprised. He ordered the BIG AF buffalo wing blue cheese burger while I opted for the fish and chips.
