had a wonderful breakfast sandwich. nothing pretentious or ostentatious, but a delicious, freshly made egg sandwich. many options for brot, egg style and meat. fresh and hot here no pappe or warming lighter. fast and friendly. free coffee with the breakfast sandwich was nice touch and the coup de gnade? tater deads are an option. the battle against the traffic on 13 is worth the meal here. When I got home my order was completely wrong and I didn’t receive my entire order either they mixed up my order. Sadly they only have one star, but I would have put no star. I do not recommend View all feedback.
This place is the best. My dad started bringing me here when I was little and it was one of my favorites ever since. The food is great and the service is fast. I love this place!
Lively in DE my whole life, and have traveled past this place many times and never once looked like stopping. A good friend of mine convinced me that it is worth checking, so we have a Saturday at 1:00. Be ready to wait, but the staff is very active to get orders from the door, and dunes-in customers sit as fast as possible. We loved the old school feeling of the lunch counter and were able to observe how the kitchen team prepares the burgers, dogs and cheese steaks. The shares weren't huge, but I was completely full, and the prices were cheaper than I expected. The menu was short, simple and to the point. And the place is cash. If you know what to expect, you will not be disappointed, very good.
Our 50. Class meeting of William Penn High School class from 1972 comes up and we decided to have some gift certificates from different places that are still in business in the area. One of them is the dog house right at Dupont Highway in New Castle. So I went in and got a hot dog with sour wort and mustard some fries and an unsweetened iced tea. The place inside is quite as it was 50 years ago. when you got 16 your license you went to. The server Diane was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was good. They use to sell subs and pizza there, but now they are ready to do breakfast sandwiches instead. I enjoyed going back to the old hangout in time. 5 stars!!!!
1st time there. I will go back. The chicken cheese steak was good. The fries were great. The stools hurt my butter. The prices were a little high. The staff was great.
This stalwart hot dog spot has existed for as long as I can remember the act of eating hot dogs. Three generations of my family have taken seats at the counter. The hot dogs are classic. The fries will surprise you with a crisp potato fresh and hot. But, take cash. Because you can't use your card here.
