Must try the loaded waffle fries! Stopped with friends on the way home for lunch.......decided to try their apps cause they looked so good! Nachos had a amazing amount of cheese on them. Breaded shrimp was just as good as the waffle fries! Next time I'm by this place I'm stopping for a meal, the burgers looked amazing! "Dined in earlier today, my husband and I ordered the confit wings, best burger in town and Friday’s special fish chips.The burger and wings were okay.Unfortunately the fish and chips were waaaaay too greasy. I had to soak up the extra grease from the fish and got two serviettes fully soaked with grease.However the service was good. Overall I’d say out experience were a little bit of a let down."

"Happily, I'm old enough to remember when you could visit the Emporium when it was the only thing open on Sunday before Sunday shopping became legal in Ontario. On a snowy Winter's Sunday, you would enter to roaring fire in the wood burner and the proprietor Mr. Simpson joyfully sitting at a player piano (pretending to play) while Mrs. Simpson served tea in the then tiny Tea Room. Not much has changed over the years. the tea room has gotten bigger, and the sandwich selection is greatly expanded; there are fewer products of Scotland on the shelves and the stove and piano are gone but this is still a favorite spot to go when I'm in that area."
