What Stewart Langworth likes about The Ponycat Cafe:
Wonderful and filling brunch. Avocado, grilled halloumi, poached egg, tomato, spinach, and two slices of bread with a balsamic drizzle. Very fast service. Small place in a cool neighborhood.

My boyfriend and I visited The Ponycat cafe last weekend in New Farm. I had only been there for coffee before, so we decided to try their breakfast this time. We discovered that the staff were Taiwanese and they offer not only Western-style breakfast, but also Taiwanese-style dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. View all feedback.

read moreThe Ponycat, located in New Farm, offers a unique experience with Taiwanese staff serving both Western and Taiwanese style meals. The restaurant may have had some mixed reviews on the coffee and zucchini fritters, but the breakfast menu seems to be a hit with dishes like eggs benedict receiving high praise for the perfectly cooked bacon, runny poached eggs, and tasty hollandaise sauce. The friendly service and charming interior with quirky menu displays add to the overall appeal of this cafe. Parking in the area may be a challenge, but those who manage to find a spot are treated to a wonderful and filling brunch experience that won't break the bank. Guests especially enjoyed dishes like roast pork belly with fried eggs and a detox smoothie, promising a return visit for more delicious food and drinks at reasonable prices.
