The Riverview - New Forest

We have booked a table in their river view restaurant to celebrate a special day with special American friends, and I must say it is the worst culinary experience I have ever experienced, what it was made worse, that we could not go on...and somewhere else. there was an excess of personal, but no one seemed to be responsible, the wrong wein was brought when the right white wine arrived, if not even seen a cooler and was in an ice bucket with three cubes was so extremely warm, a member of the kitchen man went to our table and shook “Ohi” along the length of the restaurant to keep the attention of a worker, then no fingering we had the choice to ruin our special day by standing up and going or staying and making the best of an extremely disappointing occasion. we can laugh now and joke about our experience, but we will never repeat it. £250 for a start to forget.

We had a fantastic birthday dinner for 9 on the terrace in the sunshine with a beautiful view over the river. eating was deliciously well maintained gluten-free and the staff was very attentive.

The restaurant is beautiful. We enjoyed dining outside when the weather was nice, it was absolutely wonderful. The interior was also beautiful for when we sat inside. The food was excellent and the service was great. The restaurant is located in a very nice hotel.

Very pleasant lunch. the menu offers all taste directions from the standard fish chips or steak up to utter, mönchen or trout. the service was attentive without being intrusive. it was also not too ice-cold; we could sit and enjoy our meal without another cover waiting for the table. all in all a wonderful way to spend a sunny afternoon.

Certainly nothing on the menu compared to the photo above. Usual pub grub, fish chips, burghers, ceasar salad, steaks.
