"We had an awesome time here for my birthday. A generously portioned 8 course traditional Italian meal will have you stuffed and with plenty of delicious leftovers to take home and enjoy another meal. The owner, Dan, was our host, the excellent chef, as well as our server, and all with a fun sarcastic sense of humor. We were informed ahead of time to bring our own drinks which was odd but good advice. Reservations are required and at least a couple weeks in advance is recommended. You'll enjoy it more if you are Right minded....crazy libs should probably pass. Don't worry about the spartan ambiance as the amazing quality and quantity of food will leave you more than satisfied. You also can't beat the price for all that you get. This is truly a gem that we'll be sure to come back for."

"The dishes were very good before, but now with the new management, they are NEXT LEVEL!! : I sampled mediterranean/middle eastern food from all over the states, and nothing quite hit the spot in comparison. The family who took over are the most hardworking people I have ever met. I 'd recommend the buffet/variety platters if you are somewhat unfamiliar with the cuisine, and want to try a bit of everything. I 'd recommend the Okra/spinach lamb if you are chasing the feels of a home cooked meal. Personally, my favorite move is to order a bunch of appetizers to share tapas style with as many lamb chops as I can handle!! Cheers! "That was my first experience with an uplying cake and I loved it. The crust was dense; somehow chew and crispy at the same time. You couldn't see the paprika, but you could certainly taste its taste. When the cake is served, it appears uncut. But it's actually perfectly cut, so it's super easy to grab a piece without slipping away anything. The sauce, sprinkled with grated cheese, is tasteful. And you should try the finely ground hot pepper flakes. ... The building seems a little sketched, but who cares? It's downtown Utica. Didn't expect a palace. The two men behind the counter were efficient if not exactly warm and cuddly. The pricing is a shadow high, but not worthy of a legitimate complaint. The pizzeria has been working for more than 100 years, so it is quite obvious that people behind the business know what they are doing. Nothing fantastic, except taste."

"I saw some negative reviews before we went, so little worried. But it was a great experience! They serve COLD bread. That’s how they’re supposed to be. Refrigerated cold, they were delicious!! Salad has heavy garlic, which is tasty. Service was very quick, right BEFORE we finish appetizer, they brought food. Actually we didn’t have to wait at all throughout."

"Old, rubbery celery ordered extra with the wings. (Told the server, but received a ooh, you 'll have that sometimes. )Stale, crumbly bread for the chicken sandwich. (Didn 't complain as boyfriend 's entree was much worse)Med/well cooked steak (ordered as med/rare). Would have ate it but then bit into ice cold mashed potatoes. Let the server know hey, it 's just not what we ordered... server left with the plate and came back a few minutes later with the same steak cut in half stating we were wrong.. it was cooked to perfection. Same ice cold mashed potatoes.We were deceived by the coziness of the place... and it 's truly a shame because it 's probably somewhere we would come back to but after paying $70 on old food and overcooked steak we just don 't have any trust in the establishment."
