Contribute FeedbackDespite some service issues, including long wait times and average food quality, the tacos were outstanding, making a return visit likely. The sheep head fish dish was praised, but service challenges like noise levels and temperature were noted. Another review highlighted disappointing drinks and bland guacamole, calling it the worst dining experience ever. However, positive experiences were also shared, with friendly staff, delicious food, and great ambiance noted. Overall, the restaurant's potential for improvement was recognized, and experiences varied from very positive to extremely negative. Dining at NOLA Cantina seems to offer a mix of hits and misses.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! The atmosphere is so soothing and romantic. The drinks are great and the queso is outstanding! The salsa is also very tasty. Unfortunately, the tamales bites were a letdown. However, I really enjoyed the live band that was playing.
I really like it here and their outdoor patio is super legit! They have covered cabanas with outdoor couches and fans in them; perfect for the summer heat! My favorite taco is the Pibil Pork taco. They do half off tacos and cheap drinks daily from 4-7 PM. What a great deal and a good vibe! They have bands and their playlist is ultimate thrift store type music everyday. Woot!
This place was a great spot to stop and relax for a drink and live music after a long walk. We came here on a Wednesday. The fries were delicious (Fiesta Fries). I ordered Ceviche, not the best, no flavor, not spicy... but not going to knock this place for that, everywhere is different. This place DOES NOT have hot sauce. They do have salsas that they make there.... but sometimes you need a Tapatio, Cholula, or Tabasco! If you serve tacos, you need hot sauce!
We stopped in to grab a drink. The inside of the restaurant was closed, but the patio was open. There was a band playing jazz the entire time we visited. They were good, very entertaining for the crowd. The food was very good, amazing tacos. The service was ok, we would have drank more but our server was too busy to get to us most of the time. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Frenchmen St, or New Orleans.
Nola Cantina is a great place. The live band we had was very good and we spent a good time listening to them. The food was nice and our waitress gave us good advice to help us choose our dishes. The outdoor space is great to spend a good time. Go check it out.
