Met friends here every day last year for Jazz Festival. Such a fun place with good food and drinks and 5 minute walk to Jazz Fest. Last year they had crawfish boils at night. This will be our before/after spot again this year View all feedback.
Love the yummy flavors that Chef Al B brings to my table consistently. This is a quaint little gem in the heartbeat of MidCity. I love the atmosphere and the bar speaks for itself. Go for the food. Go for the booze. Go for the mood and grooves. One of Broad St. Avenue's finest!
Awesome staff and real good pours. Caprese sandwich is so good I'd stab a guy for one! (Note, I haven't yet. YET. EDIT it's been a year since I reviewed Pirogues. I'd still stab someone for a caprese, but also I'd kick someone in the shins for thier Seasoned Fries. They are that good! Also try thier daiquiris. Wanna know a secret? The chef is a master sushi maker. Go try it and report back. You won't be disappointed!
Low key, laid back neighborhood bar with some amazing grub. Al cooks a mean meal! Never thought I'd ever love sushi from a bar, but here we are!
