Food was tasty, Dude kept calling me babe. Made me feel uncomfortable.

great service and good food. short hours, but it is a great lunch place. they would recommend during the midday in new orleans east.

So I was here from denver and wanted only a lunch place worth your money. that is this place mom and pops place and the portions, from this world. go hungry and...

very good eating and beautiful authentic to the earth staff.

"I was pleasantly surprised that Shaya lived up to the hype. Five stars. The fried chicken hummus is a must. Wait and order after this is finished. It was a perfect balance of savory and sweet on their amazing bread. If you only come for drinks and an appetizer then order this and be happy. A table favorite. The lamb was good. Tender and perfectly cooked. The flavor was mild and side salad was enough for us to both share. Cinnamon babka was yummy, but I might try another"

"The food was good, but unfortunately not the $240/person price day. The warm lobster salad was very salty and the pan meerrote G... the wine pairing has not impressed us either. We enjoyed the lamb and Pavlova. There was also a mix with a credit card, and the restaurant took 4 phone calls at 10 a.m. to find out. Very unique building/layout. We can return for drinks in the future. I would not recommend the tasting menu, not worth it at their price."

"Food is delicious! Stopped by because every other place had long lines and we were starving. Weren't sure what to expect but the food was amazing. There were only two servers so it was extremely hectic, but the food was brought out quick. The beignets were soft and fluffy and the omelets delicious and filled with so much seafood, we ordered three seafood omelets! The hash browns are more of breakfast potatoes but very yummy. Definitely recommend. However if you are looking for authentic gumbo or the like, this may not be the restaurant. If you want a quaint little place with yummy food then this is a must-try!"

"My second time being at this place and it still rocks! Last time was in 2020 on our BBQ Roadtrip. Today I had the 3 meat plate w ribs, brisket and sausage. 2 sides mac n cheese and coleslaw. Comes with white bread but get some of their cornbread muffins... super good! Everything was great and service was friendly and quick"

"Cornbread waffle! worth mentioning. I tried that with fried chicken strips. Syrup is good and thick and sweet. For it had more room for improvement. Bathroom fan was loud, but it was relatively clean. Interior of the restaurant was cozy, tables filled almost every corner. They sell their own merch. Big ice cubes we like."
