"The Halyard is a large restaurant with multiple dining areas. We were seated in the older section with red wood paneling on the walls and ceiling as if on an old ship. It was great. The newer dining areas give the feeling of dining in a cafeteria. If you have the option, request to eat in the older section. The ship like ambiance on the water's edge just as the sun set. Stunning setting hard to beat this anywhere."

Considering the superb quality the pricing was quite fair.Service was excellent. The new owners as of had big shoes to fill , and they have filled them very well indeed. There is no restaurant on the North Fork that even comes close to this one, and that's saying a lot"

"The garlic rolls are addictive, I had 3!! The split pea soup, yum but the codfish special was ok, great piece of fish, not knocking that but it was missing some flavor. Now others may disagree, my taste buds have been ruined with spicy foods so I always need a huge burst of flavor, but still delicious. Plus the hostesses and our server were great! Will definitely come back oh and I don't typically eat meat but did try a bite of the Riley and it was pretty damn good. It's hard to find good red meat in America!"
