amazing eating and serving. our waiter was an older man and as pleasant as possible. he knew we were out of town and asked where we came from and how we found it. I mentioned that anthony bourdain had it on his show. he said we were standing on the same! we will have to stop this when they visit new york View all feedback.
What Karine Kulas doesn't like about Ben's Kosher Delicatessen Manhattan:
weird experience, I ordered a side of derma but broccoli came instead. the waiter grabbed a napkin and used his hand to grab the broccoli off my plate .... when we asked for more bread/pickles/coffee the waiter was very rude and cut us off View all feedback.
The plates are coming one after one without the time to eat and they bring you the bill at 8h30 to hurry up to pay before closing
We were starved for good kosher deli, the New Jersey selection is slim. Needs a comfortable place in front of the Billy Joel concert, very satisfied with our choice. My lean corned beef was not dry at all, hubby's pastrami was delicious. The Cole Slav and potato salad cannot beat! It's nice that you haven't changed anything over the years (Möbel is a little tired guys).
Great food. A lot to choose from. Very reasonable prices. But their liquor selection leaves a lot to be desired.
Long time New Yorker growing up with going to kosher or kosher style deli places. Deli counter on one side, table/booth seating on other side. Cole slaw and pickles offered to table for munching while one decides what to order and waiting for your food (refills given when requested). Not only brought back good memories but food was good and wait staff was excellent. If you want a New York kosher deli experience along with the food, then this is the place.
This is a good place to get Kosher deli dishes. I recommend the double dip--a bowl of soup and half a sandwich. Everything was delicious.
