Our second time there after accidentally discovering it on our last trip to NYC. In between we took advantage of the time by testing out the cuisine in person in Lima. Couldn't wait to get back to Kausa to have the food again! It did not disappoint. We will be back next time for round 3! View all feedback.
Came back because the food was so good last time, wanted my daughter to experience the great Peruvian flavirs,as our great but tiny place on Staten Island is no longer. They did not disappoint. The avocado salad, once again, had the perfect avocado, plus crisp radishes, other greens and the most delicious dressing. The chicken dish which included the most amazing rice mix was delicious. We both especially love the sauces that accompanied each dish. She really loved this meal, was so happy I brought her here.
Fantastic meal. Ceviche and empanadas were absolutely delicious. Get the Tacu Tacu!
I enjoyed the food. It was very tasteful and typical. The drinks, specially the pisco sour was so good afte dinner. The owner and the waiters were very amicable and respectful. I love to go back to this excellent Peruvian restaurant in NYC.
Very welled season food. My go to is El Lomo Saltado. Which is cut pieces of steak blended with tomatoes onions and sauce on top of a bed of fries and rice on the side. The fries themselves are usually plain but with the sauce there is no need for salt.
It's definitely a cool chill place. The atmosphere is very friendly, from the servers to bar tenders and even other attendees , live music on a thursday night, which adds to the ambiance. The food was incredible, and there were lots of vegetarian and vegan options . In the heart of hells kitchen is this gem . The drinks are also really good. It's definitely a place I'll recommend and will surely be back
