This place rocks! We had left the NYC water ferry and needed some food. We went a few blocks and that was the first place we found. Never heard of this bar, it has Cheers!, Vibes and classic contemporary music. We ordered 12 mini sliders with cheese and oh-mah-gawd, so lovely. I would travel to get this food and ambience back. What User doesn't like about Killarney Rose:
The Guinness was grand but the food was nothing to write home about. The pickle chips were overdone and they appeared to be bought in prepared and just deep fried. Pickle chips should have a tempura style, not a chicken nugget bread style, batter. My friend's pastrami was tough and fatty and my burger was ok...it was cooked but the chips were a bit greasy. The wings were great. Prices very reasonable. Perfect Irish atmosphere. They make you feel like you are at home. Great place to unwind after work or while waiting for a show to begin. Bartenders are excellent, especially Anthony and Tracy. I highly recommend this place.
Came to this bar clearly for the deals they have and I wanted to have a great time on this Cinco De Mayo. Unfortunately the customer service is terrible but I don’t know if it was because of the day or because I don’t fit their normal clientele, but I didn’t feel welcomed.Took a while for the bartender to notice me at the bar when I sat down and he seemed to have an attitude towards me when I was inquiring about the menu. Not only that but I asked for a straw for my drink and he handed me the wrong one then angrily grabbed a smaller straw. I mentioned, “Id take it easy if I were you because it’s already a 1 on the customer service” in which he hastily responds by saying “Do you want to close your tab and get out of here then?” People beware, if you’re on the fairer skin side you might have a normal time here (no surprise) but for my darker skinned folks, I didn’t feel welcomed. Deals are great though, all I can say.
