"Lovely and delicious dinner, as always. Outstanding service by Mac! Always enjoy the octopus and the saganaki to start. The olive bread, homemade and fresh, is a must have. Really enjoyed the scallops special and the red snapper special! Both dishes prepared and presented beautifully. Our friend loved her moussaka. Perfect martinis, ambiance, service and always wonderful food. Thanks for a great evening!"

"Just the delightful experience we’ve always come to expect from a Mark Strausman restaurant. We were greeted like royalty and treated the same way by all of the professional staff we encountered including a lovely table visit from Mr. Strausman. The sourdough and the onion breads were otherworldly. My guest and I split our salad and entrees due to dietary restrictions which were kindly accommodated. The arugula/goat cheese/beet salad fresh and sublime. The risotto with the most tender scallops and what I guess was a hint of Pernod finished with roasted garlic was a winner. We ended the meal with the Iced cream/coffee/liquor treat and an amazing strawberry rhubarb crumble with vanilla iced cream. Our veteran waiter Roy is in a league of his own giving dutiful, unobtrusive service with his inimitable Victorian charm. It doesn’t get any better."

"Terrific addition to Harlem. Fun vibe, stellar hospitality and great bites and beer selection. The staff is knowledgeable and well trained. There is even a back patio to chill and converse. Super Instagram friendly with many cool design elements. Welcome to the neighborhood."

"If you're in the mood for some delicious Japanese cuisine, I highly recommend trying Ichibantei. Although I've never actually dined in at the restaurant, their takeout is consistently good, and their dishes never disappoint. From my frequent orders, I can say that their Karaage, Agedashi, and Ichibantei steak are must-tries. The steak, in particular, is always cooked well and pairs well with a dry sake. Despite the occasional mishap in delivery, the food is always of high quality and is reasonably priced. I appreciate their consistent food quality, making it my go-to spot for a late-night Uber Eats order. If you're looking for comfort food that hits the spot, give Ichibantei a try."

"It's a shame everyday of the week can't be a Monday this summer. Otherwise I'd try to eat here almost everynight. Unfortunately the restaurant is only open on Mondays for the summer, so we'll all just have to settle for once a week. As another reviewer said the food here is among the best, if not the best tapas in NYC, and is probably up among the top meals I've had at a New York restaurant. My three favorites were the oxtail, the roasted eggplant, and the goat cheese, apple, and cayenne-lime merengue desert. The flavors and textures combined together deliciously in each plate we had. Definitely will be going back soon to try out the paella"

"So we started out with some cocktails the Peas not war and spice up your life! Wow these were both fantastic. For the snacks we had the shishito peppers the flavor was great. We had the laotian sushi great mix of crunchy and spicy. Then the oysters these were my favorite. Then came the special which was a corn ravioli of some sort it worked it was delicious. We added on tomato tartare didnt think this would be anything spectacular but it sure was. The bread was crisp and had a great crunch. Then for dinner we had to try the snowdance farms chicken under a brick. I as a rule never order chicken when I go out to eat and my boyfriend won’t each chicken unless it’s a wing covered in sauce. Well I have never in my life had a chicken dish with so much moisture and flavor. He loved it! Thebroccoli rabe with it was fantastic as well."
