What Amy Shin doesn't like about Sobaya:
I opted for the eel and soba set, but was a bit disappointed by how tiny my piece of eel was. Also, I wished the soba was colder, especially the dipping sauce because after all, I had ordered the cold option. Perhaps that way, the noodles would have a chewier texture. View all feedback. I am very pleased with this soba restaurant in the East Village. The mini lunch set has a limited selection, but all the options look delicious. It was a great choice, especially on a hot day. View all feedback.

read moreThe food took a while to arrive, causing the tempura to become soggy and not very enjoyable. The noodles and soup were decent, but a bit plain.
The cold soba and tempura were delicious, but the prices were a bit too high.
Average tasting. Nothing stood out
