Contribute FeedbackThe cozy neighborhood Italian restaurant received rave reviews for its delicious food and reasonable prices. Some guests raved about the Parmigiano veal and homemade desserts, while others enjoyed the fresh bread and shrimp. Despite some challenges with seating and service, many diners appreciated the old-world charm and warmth of the restaurant. Families with children found the staff to be friendly and accommodating, and overall, the consensus was that it was a great place to enjoy good Italian cuisine with friends and loved ones.
Excellent food! Excellent staff! Cozy environment! I highly recommend Via Della Pace.
Let's start with saying that the food is really good. We had assorted bruschetta, house made pasta and house made desserts, all very enjoyable. Seating is very cramped and I was pushed every time someone walked behind me. Service was disappointing. For some reason, we were not allowed to order our appetizers until we were ready to order the entire meal, or at least that's what we understood from the server's incomprehensible explanation. Also she hardly ever checked back on us, we had to actively look for her if we needed anything. I also noticed several times that the various servers did not seem to be able to keep track of orders properly, i.e. bringing items to the wrong table or bringing a duplicate order to the same table and then taking it back. It's hard for me to decide whether I will go back.
The one disappointment was they did not have our reservation we got lucky that 1 table was open sounds like an issue between open table and the restaurant
We had a reservation for 8 people but did not get seated until 9:45. The food did not completely make up for the inconvenience of being crowded at the bar for so long.
The Amatriciana and Carbonara are top-notch, with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The very friendly Roberto even offered us a shot of amaro. And that's no small feat in this city.
