"Ive had a few things on their menu now and I feel that I can give an honest review as a taiwanese person. I ordered Fried Pork Chop Bian Dang, Crispy Chicken Bian Dang, and Pork Yumplings. The batter they use on the chicken and pork is chewy, which I love, but they dont fry the chicken or pork chop enough, so its not crispy at all. Additionally, the fried porkchop and chicken is incredibly oily because they dont let the meat sit on a rack to let the oil drip away and that makes the food tastes worse. As for the flavor, its honestly pretty tasty. The food itself is slightly on the saltier side, but if Im craving food from home or a quick lunch, this is perfect. The portion is rather small for the price. I wish they used a slightly bigger bowl and just provided more rice. It felt like there wasnt enough rice for all the flavor of meat and lu rou that was in the bowl. $16 for this meal is pretty expensive so it wouldnt be a place I frequent all the time. Overall, its a solid place to eat and I would order again, but I hope they consider some changes to make the meal more enjoyable."

"I checked out Covenhoven with some friends on a Friday afternoon/evening while visiting Brooklyn. This is a happening little spot with a wide selection of beers on tap and in a large refrigerator for purchase. So many options to choose from and I enjoyed looking through the fridge section for the wild and quirky beers I've never heard of before. It was fun sitting out on their outdoor courtyard. There's some basic pub fare food as well if you get hungry. I would definitely stop back in again."
