I don’t know if it was just this evening or if it’s this location, but my husband’s Argentinian steak was loaded with salt. He didn’t say anything because we were entertaining a client and needed to head to a show afterwards. Considering the prices, I also couldn’t believe the Mac and cheese was less than mediocre and so was the mashed potatoes. I make better at home. It was definitely disappointing. My steak tasted... Excellent food and service. Dimly lit, not overcrowded, a bit pricey but hey, it?s Manhattan, not Outback. Company get-together for a departing friend. Would come again.
I would like to start with the service which is immaculate, our server was very friendly, engaging. The steak was tender ; cooked to a perfect medium rare . Even the sides was seasoned well. The thin slices of garlic on the broccoli was incredible. I am a big fan of tiramisu and it was so delicious. I made sure I saved room for dessert. It was a special occasion and we feltwelcomed throughout our dining experience .I would definitely recommend.
We celebrated my husband's milestone birthday at Bobby Van's Grill on W. 50th Street and it was a wonderful event. The restaurant manager and staff were so gracious, attentive and accommodating to every detail and request for our guests. In theprevious weeks in planning this event with the coordinator, all my questions were answered and helpful suggestions were offeredwhere needed. We've been going to the restaurant for years and were happy to invite our friends to celebrate with us. Thank youto the BV Team for taking such good care. We can't wait to go back and do it again!
I'll start off with the food was really good, the service was slow and not attentive. We had early reservations and there may have been roughly 5 other tables when we were in the restaurant. We had fried calamari for an appetizer, this was pretty goodalthough we anticipated it being tossed in a sweet chili sauce as described on the menu but wasn't. We ordered the bone inrib-eye and their Lobster ravioli. Both were very good. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was served with somedipping sauce but it was not needed. The ravioli was also very good and both were filling. Although the food was delicious, theservice was very slow although they had 5-7 people just standing around. It took a while to have our order taken, get drinksfrom the bar and to receive our final check. I'd go back in hopes the service was a little better.
Service and food are amazing. High on the price tag but worth it!
