I used to sit in this coffeeshop almost every weekend when I lived in Hell’s Kitchen. They use oatly and counter culture coffee which is the recipe for a great coffee. My only problem is the strong (and bad) smell, probably because of the eggs and other things they make. I guess if they left the door open or had better circulation that wouldn’t be an issue. I paid almost 10 dollars for a bodega milk and hot coffee Latte 12 oz Large Size . Very dissapointing. I can make a better coffee at home . The bagels Bagel with Plain Cream Cheese were half the size of brod nosh with similar price. The muffin Raspberry Muffin was a joke and looks NOTHING like the photos on doordash. brod nosh is my goto but this time i thought to try something new and i regret it. terrible mediecre... The best part of my mornings in Manhattan is getting a perfectly made cortado and delicious egg sandwich from the friendly crew at Rex.
Rex is the best coffee shop in NYC. They take their coffee seriously with out being pretentious. They have a loyal and generous staff.
Lucky me!! Rex is right around the corner from my office. I get to quickly pop in for the best coffee around, the coolest baristas, fun music and interesting customers.
