"Maharajas is my favourite Curry place in Lower Hutt, the only time I will ever go anywhere else is on a Monday when they are closed and even then it usually isn't worth it because this place sets the bar so high. I order takeaway from there most week and the chicken is always tender and the sauce (med kiwi hot) always flavourful and consistent week to week which is a rare find for indian takeaway. The staff are always friendly and even better they deliver for a very reasonable fee !"

"After a gasse in the heart of wellington, egmont st eatery is a cool, small sidebar with bar snacks, share-style dishes and big coffee and cocktails. service is absolutely fantastic, great to escape the city and have a break. perfect for date night, small bites, girls at night or friends at night out. salmon-srillettes, purple weizentoast, crumble bavarois i havent had before, it is a perfect afternoon snack, so much taste, really nice and creamy soba nudelsalat with wakame and tofu dressing bae loved his soba"

"We have been going to Pandan since they were in Tawa. As a family who love Malaysia and local food, this restaurant is better than local Malay, we feel so lucky they are only 20 main away from Johnsonville. We celebrate as many of our family occasions here that we can. From the goat curry, to the claypot fish, it is all a heavenly delight. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: NZ$30–40"

"An amazing boardgame cafe/restaurant. Been there a couple of times (once on a double date and the second time with my boardgame savvy 4 yo). A lot of boardgames, nice selection. We enjoyed the chicken burger but the venison burger was quite dry. I can see us returning many times in the future."

"We had a lovely lunch here. Staff were very good. Great seat by the window looking at the sea. Food was delicious and beautifully presented . Mushroom pate was yummo. Pork belly was cooked perfectly with tasty accompaniments . A great plant based menu. Hubby enjoyed the salmon . Pancakes went down well."

"Edit: It seems Hiakai has shut their doors as their last season finished April 1 (as per website) and no new bookings have been released. Pretty good! Awesome tasty food and service, had the wine match and that was great too. The only thing that could be a little different for that price is maybe some more experimental items instead of just a cake as the dessert. I know from photos old-style Hiakai used to be experimental but seems to have lost it's touch recently."
