I was looking to book a table for my family. 2 households amounting to 8 people. I politely asked why they were only allowing 6, only to be answered by some old whine type regular of the Crewe arms (obnoxious west ham fan) who told me it was the law and implied I was thick. in fact it was he who had the law wrong, and he who was thick as the guidance allows 2 households amounting upto 30 people. We had a delightful two-night stay at the restaurant and were warmly welcomed by Miguel and Linda. Our rooms, although basic, were clean, comfortable, and had a fantastic shower. The bar had a charming nostalgic atmosphere that we loved, and we enjoyed a delicious meal of fishcakes with salad and fries, expertly cooked by Linda. Our dog was also warmly welcomed and would have happily stayed longer if possible. The only suggestion we have is to add a handrail to the bath for added safety.
A lovely welcome from Linda and Miguel.. Great size room , comfy large bed , fresh clean bedding . Blinds and curtains great for me as I was sleeping during day) Plenty of tea coffee sugar etc . Large bathroom, FANTASTIC SHOWER !!! Toiletries supplied if needed. Large soft fresh towels . EVENING MEAL. The best home made soup I have ever tasted . I had the chicken Napoli . Very tasty and plentiful. I did not get chance to have breakfast, but if it was anything like the evening meal , I would not of been disappointed. This hotel and restaurant are excellent value for money , Ps The restaurant and room were spotlessly clean . I would definitely recommend this hotel.
We go there most weeks. Miguel and Linda keep an excellent bar and Kitchen. Authentic Tapas and Mini Tapas dishes available as well as the regular fare. Wide choice of lagers and real ales always on tap.
My partner and I stayed at this restaurant for the night and we couldn't find any faults with it. The owners were very attentive and helpful, the pub had a friendly atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the rooms were impeccably clean. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and highly recommend this place. Five stars!
