What Anon doesn't like about Barluga Gastro Pub:
Went for drink and offered menu, said to the waitress I wasn 't sure but checked to see if there was anything I fancied. Made my choice but no-one came to the table and I was there at least 45 mins drinking my wine which I have to say was brought quickly.. When paying explained and was told 'people had rang in sick, start of the busy season. Lunch on a Monday?? Been a few times before when busy with at least another... View all feedback.
The barluga is located on Posh Street of grey street, at number 35, and is as stylish as the rest of the street. it is a restaurant with a lounge bar and prahlers at the entrance to ensure the peace of mind for customers. you have to be well dressed, at least smart casual is relaxed, but not so much. the menu has cheese salads, oriental ducks or salmon that are delicious, the main courses have English influence, fish cake, steak cake, oriental and spicy meatballs and green curry. there are special dishes such as whistle with fries, thai aromen, classical, Spanish and Moroccan. it is a good place to test qualitatiw high quality English kitchen. the dishes are 7-10 pfund, entries 4-7 pfund and there are 2 for 1 every day except Friday and Saturday.
We attend on 15th of October for my Mama birthday , food was excellent (so pleased to be order from bar menu as well as Sunday menu) our server Abby was friendly and attentive. If you enjoy a Sunday lunch head to Barluga
I chose to come to Barluga for a Sunday dinner with my grandparents to celebrate my 21st birthday a few days early. Our server Abby was very attentive and was absolutely lovely. We each had 3 courses which was around £25.50pp and shared a bottle of pinot grigio. I had the classic mussels for starter, the beef roast dinner and a cheesecake for dessert which came with white chocolate lettering of Happy Birthday. Whole experience was great, we were all impressed and it's great value for money.
Had Sunday lunch here today with family. Food was nice and we were very lucky to be served by Abby. She was such a lovely girl and very attentive. Hope she’s still there on our next visit.
The terrace is gorgeous and we had a lovely round of drinks and snacks here on a rainy day. The servers were lovely, especially Sara our waitress!
