Contribute FeedbackMany customers have praised the delicious food and top-quality meat options at this expensive restaurant, though some were put off by the high prices for basic items like bread and drinks. Some patrons enjoyed the beef stroganoff and lamb chops, while others were disappointed with the prawn starters and seafood platter. The venue itself received positive feedback, with friendly and attentive staff noted. However, issues with the restroom location were mentioned by some diners. Overall, the restaurant offers great food in a central location, with excellent service and a relaxing atmosphere, making it a recommended choice for many.
Fantastic restaurant, food was 10/10 no fault as usual. Service was great new girl ocean tried her best to make sure we were ok with everything and were happy which we were . It was nice to speak to Nick very nice man . Already booked again for December. The cocktails were amazing and the wine is always top class love this place x
The steak main courses and oysters were delicious, but the prawn starters and seafood platter were very disappointing. The staff, especially our waiter, were excellent. I expected to pay around $300 with drinks, and it was close to that amount, but unfortunately, the food was not worth it. I enjoyed the setting, but it was definitely not the best food.
I visited Porterhouse with my friends during restaurant week. I have dined at Porterhouse 3 to 4 times before and it has always been flawless. The food was outstanding in terms of presentation, taste, and texture. However, the service was disappointing, which is unusual for the 21 Hospitality Group. The wine was either brought late or forgotten, and the Parmesan truffle chips were inputted incorrectly into the EPOS system, resulting in the wrong portion being served. Despite there being plenty of staff on duty, no one checked in on us during our meal. It was difficult to get someone's attention to request the bill or the card machine, despite the small size of the restaurant.
Arrived on time and greeted warmly as a regular. Seated 10 minutes before asked for a drink. Not keen on being called Guys . Order taken after some delay, waitress a little blunt and disinterested. Long wait for bread and olives.. big wait for mains..hadn 't even ordered starters! Mains eventually came 45 minutes after sitting down. My steak was blue (see pic) when I wanted medium rare.. Lamb chops with broad beans and peas came with...no broadbeans or peas. Shame we had to ask why they weren 't there! A gesture was made to adjust the bill and this was accepted but you know.. I really wanted to pay for what we expected. This is supposed to be pretty high end and frankly it was rubbish. Gent at the next table sent his food back.. something not right here and it needs someone to have a hard look at how it works and the standards to be set for the high prices charged
Superb evening provided by this restaurant. The quality of the produce, the cooking and of course not forgetting the staff, make this a place to dine. A very good balanced menu which also includes a great seafood selection. I chose the Porterhouse as this has more seating than its seafood sibling next door. The steak tartare was one of the best I have had, the creamy richness of the egg yolk, just brought it all together. My wife had King Prawns in a chilli and garlic butter, simply superb. All supported by a serving team that were there but unobtrusive. Worth a visit.
