Contribute FeedbackFogHorn Brewery in Newcastle is a craft beer haven located in the city center. The food is well-cooked and offers a range from sliders to deep-fried dishes, perfect for a casual meal. The limited outdoor space is mainly utilized by smokers. With an industrial setting showcasing sports on TV, this spot is ideal for those seeking a pub atmosphere with meat-heavy menu options. While the wine list may be lacking, the beer selection is expansive and well-received. Despite some issues with food temperature and service speed, the overall experience was enjoyable. The atmosphere is welcoming and spacious, making it a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner with friends and family. Guests praise the beer selection, particularly the IPAs, and recommend trying the buttermilk chicken burger and the beer tastings. The staff is accommodating and friendly, adding to the overall positive dining experience at FogHorn Brewery.
Wow, what a hidden gem! Thanks to Entertainment Book we decided to find and try this fabulous place. We shared the Dark &Stormy beer tasting tray and burgers. Enjoyed every mouthful and the chips were to die for, definitely worth breaking the diet! Great decor, friendly staff and great food and drink, doesn’t get any better! We’ll definitely be back with friends!
What a great place, we were up from Sydney visiting friends really family friendly we took 7 kids there and they all loved the food, food was excellent and reasonably priced, fantastic selection of beers, can’t speak highly enough of the staff, they were all friendly and on the ball, place was packed but our food was out to us very quickly !! Would highly recommend FogHorn to anyone looking for great food , great beers and a fantastic atmosphere!!
Great place vibes are on point, beer selection even better. 10/10 recommend.
Have had plenty of great nights here. Amazing food, great beer and friendly+helpful staff! A must-see for all Newcastle locals or visitors.
My wife and I had passed by FogHorn a lot before deciding to try it out and we couldn't be happier. Food was great, beer was sensational. I had their Pilsener, wife had the Pale Ale. I finished the evening with their Stout. Really, really great beers. Food was Mac and Cheese Croquettes, Onion Rings and a burger each. We loved everything we tried. As an aside, saw a review saying the staff weren't up to scratch. We took our 6 week old with us, our first outing as a family. Staff was beyond lovely, they look after us so well. They were happy to accommodate our pram and made us feel really welcome and comfortable. I understand people can have varying experiences, I can only attest to our time there and it was wonderful. Would whole heartedly recommend you visit.
