"Great addition to the roan mountain area! not too far away from other cities and nice for native. surprisingly great ambiente and great dishes to choose at a very reasonable price! (Check site my man loved the prime rib, and I enjoyed my grilled chicken fattyuccine americano! a good selection of large small sides available as well as neighborish said the seafood pasta special was great! well done! we go back and take friends! (beer, but not yet a fleet, but an ice cold stella or two have taken it well with us!"

"The service is fantastic. The food is mediocre at best, but they charge as though it is great. If the prices aligned with the quality of the food, I'd have given them another star. It was a disappointing experience for my entire family... Then, they substantially overcharged my card for more than twice the correct amount, which did get sorted out but not until the next day. $103 for three people for dinner and an appetizer. No alcohol. Not a bad price for GOOD Italian food, but it was just okay."

"I have traveled 8 times to the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games in the last 12 years and every time we celebrate the games with a phenomenal dinner at the gamekeeper. The atmosphere is ineffective to sit on the deck when the weather is allowed and the service is spectacular. And we didn't even get the food! I suggest the local cheese plate and the mixed grill if you have a large group. When it comes to trusting Entrees as you can. The game is where it is, I had outside, Elk, Bison, wagyu beef, trout, and I'm sure some others. I ALWAYS ask the chef's recommendation how to prepare them and it is always delicious. Don't skip Dessert even if you think you should. The granita is perfectly light and the cheese cake is as decadent as possible. I could never say enough about this restaurant and what it means for my family and me."
