"This was our first time in the newport restaurant to eat and what a wonderful experience it was. the location on the tay is fantastic with magnificent view over the skyline of the city dundee. we have eaten a Friday night and get the tasting menu. this is by far my preferred type to enjoy a meal, so many aromen and so many experiences in a meal. the team was so professional and friendly, it felt very like we were regularly in the restaurant. they also offer a children's menu and hope to come with them some time for lunch. a great thanks to jamie and his brilliant team to make it an unforgettable evening."

"It was 2pm. The restaurant was clearly busy which isn’t their fault, in fact usually a good sign. However, where our experience failed was the fact we were stood, visibly, at one of two entrances for over fifteen minutes with no one to tell us how long the wait might be (bearing in mind this was at the immediate top of a steep flight of stairs and others were behind us) and then when we did get seated we were sat for fifteen minutes not getting any attention from clearly overstretched waiting staff and witnessing other tables experiencing the wrong order but then they were also getting forgotten too. We decided to leave as this did not bode well for a relaxing eating experience with a family. It would appear the kitchen and serving staff were overstretched and not being managed particularly well at this busy time. Lack of communication is always a bad experience for customers, especially with a young family. I hope in the future this place can get it right during busy periods as the location and facilities seemed great."

"We visited this restaurant whilst on a weekend break in Parrog. It was a Saturday evening and the only available table was at 5.30 when booking online. It was ideal as we had a toddler with us. We sat in one of the pods in...the garden which was fun although there wasn't any background music initially so there wasn't much of an atmosphere to start with. Once the place filled up and the music was switched on it was much better. We all enjoyed our food which was a very high standard. The Salmon sharer was delicious and the Treacle Tart was one of the best we've had."
