Olive Tree - Newport

We visited this restaurant with my family at the end of the Christmas half term break. We had a wonderful meal with a wide variety of choices on the buffet, which was perfect for my picky children. We were greeted by a delightful and attentive young girl named Ava/Eva, who seemed to be hosting that night. She took the time to show us around the buffet and then led us to our table where she interacted really well with our kids. Custodio Fernandez and another young girl named Sarah took great care of us during our meal and are definitely valuable assets to the Celtic Manor. The buffet was excellent, with clear labeling of all dietary information, making it incredibly helpful. There was plenty of options to choose from, and we will definitely be coming back soon!

We recently had afternoon tea at The Olive Tree and were extremely disappointed with the service we received. The fact that another couple seated near us also felt ignored says it all. Three other couples were served before us, despite arriving after we did. At £30 per person, I would not recommend wasting your time or money here.

My mom's birthday was celebrated with an enjoyable afternoon tea, and it was a delightful treat! Our waiter, H, was exceptional and went above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. The variety of sweet and savory options was excellent, and we both had a fantastic time. The restaurant had a lovely ambiance, and I highly recommend it. Thank you!

Had a perfect afternoon tea here this afternoon, a wonderful Christmas present. The food was lovely, a wide range of savouries and cakes with limitless tea. Particular thanks to the lovely Anna, who really looked after us, great service with a lovely smile.
