I had a wonderful dinner with my wife in Szabo's. The atmosphere is quite simple, it is a bar restaurant. Very cozy and casual. The food is really good. We do our best to avoid the tourist spots as they tend to be over priced, and underwhelming. The low key casual atmosphere of Szabo?s was appreciated, clearly loved by locals. "Went to the Oregon Coast to celebrate my birthday. My sister and I ended up at this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The food was so well prepared and our waiter was so attentive to our needs! They put us in a little corner so we could talk and have fun. I got the tenderloin and prawn pasta. Highly recommend getting the garlic toast so that you can get all the creamy goodness of the sauce! My sister got the Oregon flat iron steak which was grilled to perfection. She was very impressed with how well prepared the vegetables were. They were tender but still crunchy. We both enjoyed the molten lava chocolate cake with ice cream!! Perfect way to top off a perfect dinner. The murals on the wall are worth coming in just to take a look at them but treat yourself to something to eat as you won't be disappointed! Definitely coming back the next time we're in Newport."
