The best cronut I have literally ever had in my life. We stopped in before our whale watching trip to grab breakfast. My kiddo loved the ham egg and cheese breakfast wrap and chocolate cake donut. No frills at Balboa Bakery, just fast donuts and deli sandos with friendly youthful staff. Also there's sunglasses for sale if need a pair.

"We asked for a table for 2 and sat in about 20 minutes on Thursday night. The restaurant is very cramped, but this is understandable in view of its first-class real estate situation. We started with some bread that wasn't terrible, but a bit too much for my pleasure. Then we ordered two pizzas. The staff was absolutely wonderful and answered all the questions and in general was very welcoming. The pizzas were fine, they weren't terrible, but they had fat above them and definitely weren't something you would come back, but if you were in the neighborhood and your two top choices were closed as sure I came here. The pizza wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. It was okay. Due to how hot and fresh the pizza is, I would recommend you to let it sit because if you do not end up in it and take all the beats of bread. You will give you free cookies at the end of your dinner, which is always beautiful. Overall, I would give it an 80/100 a B-."
