"Went with friends and the ambiance of the place was cozy and welcoming. Our server was very courteous and stellar when it came to service. We started with some mango mai tai and their classic thai tea in which both were delicious. We then ordered some fried tofu that included some nice sour sauce with crushed peanuts. However, the calamari we ordered were obviously the kind you get that?s already pre-made and frozen so that was a bit disappointing. Our entreé?s were the pad thai and their chef?s special Spicy Chicken which were delicious. The pad thai serving was on the smaller side and we?d prefer the bean spouts to not be as overcooked but it was decent. Then the spicy chicken was good flavor-wise but the breading was a lot thicker than the actual piece of meat and the bowl of jasmine rice included was a small scoop amount. Overall serving sizes fall on the smaller spectrum but the taste was pretty decent."

"Fantastic Italian Fare!!. Vinny's became our regular Friday night eating spot 3-4 years ago. Located in an unassuming former Pizza Hut turned Hawaiian Ice restaurant, it's one of Newport News' best kept secrets. Their pizza is great, but my favorite is their strombolis, and their chicken cheesesteaks. Honestly, I've never once been disappointed there. Between the staff and the food, it's always a treat!!"

"I arrived at 830pm and was searched and charged a $10 cover charge per person. I was unaware that this sports bar turns into a very loud, very dark club. Lights turned off around 9pm. When I asked if pay per view fights were being showed, I was told yes at the door. They only showed the prelims, then put on football. Service was iffy, food was ok. If you want an actual sports bar aft 8pm on a saturday, go elsewhere."

"Chicken is fried perfectly. Fries and onion rings are pretty good. Cheese Cake is tasty (although I was shorted one slice). The Jamaican beef patty is a nice change. Overall, a very satisfying experience."

"This review explains my experience perfectly!!! "I usually enjoy seafood at Harpoon Larry 's; however, the portion size and the quality of the seafood have changed dramatically. I ordered the Harpoon Larry 's seafood platter (broiled) after a suggestion from my waitress, and was very disappointed. After my so-called seafood platter arrived, all of the food including the flounder, scallops, shrimp, crab cake, and the hush puppies had decreased by 50%. Why am I being charged"
