"What can I say by far the best place in the bay for the best coffee in the bay! fabulous cake, sandwiches and breakfast. the personal is great and the owner is also beautiful, even if they go alone, they are not as personal always chatting with them. all in a great small retro coffee shop. "Well what can I say, except that on Saturday we ate here for the first time we had to book in advance as over the past few years it was always fully booked. We had 3 courses and each one was as good as each other. The fillet steak cut like butter and melted in your mouth. The price was also very good. Hazel was a fantastic host and Gordon a fantastic chef. We will definitely book again when we are next in Torquay. And we would highly recommend that you book at least 3 weeks in advance as the restaurant only opens on Friday and Saturdayy."

"So sweet place with a very cozy and earthy atmosphere. coffee cake really came out fast and waitress was very friendly. chai cake was unusual (a lot less sweet than they expect, in any case tasted healthy, but tasty, and my decaf latte was excellent not too hot, so it 't bitter, beautiful and strong, good taste and not too thick/thin texture wise. not too much sitting opportunity, but it would be worth waiting for a table to be free!"

"One word FABULOUS, celebrated a very special birthday the staff couldn't be more attentive! We had the 10 course tasting menu too, which was amazing very filling, lovely experience! We also had a free upgrade to a suite which was another wow factor on entering the room, unbelievable views few treats which were another lovely touch! Thank you Gidleigh we will be returning"
