I always wanted to try a traditional Sunday Roast and I walked into this pub in Newtown Sydney on the day before my flight back to the US and I saw that they offered a roast from around noon until they ran out. I immediately ordered it and was not disappointed. It was a huge piece of crackling pork and all the fixins(roasted potatoes, carrots, roasted pumpkin, yorkshire pudding, and gravy). We like the upstairs bar/bistro area. It is open so on a nice day it is pleasant to sit out under the blue sky. One negative is the wall of smokers who have to go outdoors as well. We came for lunch. I had the bream special which were 3 generous fillets with lovely chat potatoes a nice salsa verde. My partners steak sandwich was a little less successful. Popped in for a Sunday roast again and it was just as delicious as the previous visit! Veges were cooked just right and the Yorkshire puddings a nice addition....
