Out of the way, 5 mins walk off the promenade des anglais.We had lunch for 3 people. Husband and wife run the restaurant, she is front of house, husband cooks. A little bit of english spoken (very little)We had a chicken liver salad, gnocchi with roquefort sauce and beef fillet with truffle sauce. All meals were superb. Good little place well away from Nice's endless tourist trap restaurants. There was no filet steak left on the night we went (tuesday), but apart from that we enjoyed our meal here. I rated Le Dauphin Nicois 'average' only because tripadvisor still doesn't have a 'good' rating...and there's a huge difference between 'average' and 'very good'.
