The hospital can be pretty depressing depending on how your check-up goes and whether or not you have been good in following your doctors instructions pre and post check up. Good thing Dairy Queen is available at Makati Med for cheering me up. The ice cream here is affordable and of good quality ingredients whether you order their simple coned ice creams or blizzards. I like the fact that the ice cream is thick and m... View all feedback.
What James Tancioco doesn't like about Dairy Queen:
Their mango cheesecake has always been my favorite so I tried their mudpie this time. As always, DQ does a good job with their new flavors. Visit this branch in Makati Med if ever you’re visiting someone in the hospital. They can be found at the side taxi bay drop off and pick up point of the hospital. View all feedback.
Years may pass but Dairy Queen will never get old for me, and I don't think it will get old for a lot of people. Gelato might try to take over, artisanal ice cream might want to take the spotlight, but there will always be room for a good old-fashioned DQ. I know that I crave for it a lot of times, and I know they will always have the best Oreo ice cream in my book. Honestly, even if their upside down thing doesn't work and the ice cream drops in front of me, I won't really mind. I think DQ's appeal has gone over than just being that ice cream parlor that serves ice cream upside down. No, it's more about their ice cream itself and none of their fancy gimmicks. I will always swear by Oreo but if you're not the type, their cheesecake flavors are pretty darn thrilling as well.
Been going to Makati Medical Center for years now for follow up check ups. Although i am supposed to cut down on sweets, Dairy Queen is something i often cheat with as i go directly here to buy their chocolate covered ice cream cone before leaving the hospital. Always liked the fact that my cone was filled to the bottom with ice cream and overflowing at the top.
For me, Dairy Queen will always be the number one ice cream parlor here in Manila. I don't care if it's not like the high-end gelato and frozen yogurt shops popping in and out of the Metro--I still feel it has an edge over its classier competitors. The main reason why almost everyone loves Dairy Queen is because their ice cream products are sold at dirt cheap prices. You can buy a frozen dessert for less than 50 pesos and they don't sacrifice the quality of their soft serve for price. For me, they also offer the creamiest and best-tasting ice cream. You will never get sick of this place because of the unique and vast menu to select from. Every month, they always have something new to offer to their loyal customers. It's also a part of their policy to serve Blizzard treats upside down to show its thickness and consistency. If it falls, it's free!
I love dairy queen for alot of reason. First, i went here if i have extra money to chill and relax because of my stressful work. Second, i love ice cream and last nothing beats the taste and satisfaction i got from them.
Just a walking distance from our office so it is really not a problem when I am in the mood for some blizzards. The place is small and just good for to-go orders. Since it is located at the Makati Med, long lines are expected.
